Oldham were two nil up until the last ten minutes when Gateshead scored two late goals to claim a point at Boundary Park.
After a lively first half Latics went ahead after the break through John Rooney and added a second shortly afterwoods when Nathan Sheron scored his first goal for the club after a sublime pass from Alex Reid found him in the box. Latics nearly scored a third goal with fifteen minutes to go after Tolitt went close only to see the Gateshead Keeper make a decisive save.
Unfortunately in the last ten minutes Gateshead clawed back two late goals to grab a point. The match was played out in front of another excellent crowd at Boundary Park with 6,000 witnessing a thrilling game.
