Oldham Roughyeds took back the Law Cup with a hard-fought 18-14 victory thanks to two late tries.
The Law cup has been 100 years since the first Law Cup was contested as a pre-season warm-up match between Oldham and neighbours Rochdale Hornets,
The original trohpy was called the Infirmaries Cup, The Law Cup dates back to 1921 and is named after Rochdale MP A J Law who organised the event to raise money for hospitals in Oldham and Rochdale. In 69 meetings Oldham nave won 46 to Rochdale’s 21.
