A free, family friendly community event is taking place in Oldham to help bring together people interested in growing.
The Community Growing Conference takes place at Oasis Academy on Hollins Road on 11 February from 11am-3pm.
The free, family friendly community event enables people to meet together who are interested in growing.
The event will involve a seed swap seeds amongst local growers There will be growing and cooking activities, flower arranging and composting workshops, guidance on funding for your group and lots of stalls.
There will be a Lunch provided by Real Junk Food and Bean Good Café.
Oldham Borough Councils Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods and Cooperatives said:
“Events like this not only encourage more people to start growing and eating healthily but they also bring people together.
“Growing your own food keeps you active, encourages you to eat healthily and try new foods and can save you money. We urge anyone interested in growing to come along.”
