The Link Centre In Oldham that has been under threat of closure may get a stay of execution as Council bosses look for organisations to take it over.
More than 2,000 people signed a petition urging town hall chiefs to keep the centre open last year and local MP's Debbie Abrahams, Jim McMahon and Angela Rayner met with potential
It is hoped thsat this will provide a lifeline for the local residents who use the centre, many who are disabled. Rent for the first year will be free, before it increases year on year. The Groups using the centre include Age UK, the Alzheimer’s Society and Pennine Care.
