Oldham College Student Malique Thompson-Dwyer is set to join the cast of Channel 4 soap 'Hollyoaks' as a cousin of the McQueens.
Malique has recently finished his studies at Oldham College after securing the part after a two-stage audition process.
As a big fan of Hollyoaks he described it as a dream come true.
Malique successfully landed two major roles in Oldham college's shows 'Long John Silver' and Treasure Island' and described studying at Oldham College as vital to building his confidence. He described The experience at the college as helping build his skills and the great facilities such as the Grange Theatre give the chance to perform in front of a large audience.
Last year he made a guest appearance on 'Tracey Beaker' and he has also auditioned for a movie directed by Hollywood A-lister Guy Ritchie.
Malique follows in the footsteps of Oldham-born actors and former 'Hollyoaks' stars Ricky Whittle, who played Calvin Valentine, Dominique Jackson, who played Calvin’s younger sister Lauren Valentine, and her on screen boyfriend Barry ‘Newt’ Newton, who was played by Nico Mirallegro.
