Andy Burnham, Greater Manchester Mayor launches Taskforce in a bid to help Oldham Athletic after they were demoted from the Football League.
Latices fans Fans are trying to raise £6m to help fund buying the Boundary Park Stadium. The role of the Taskforce is to help fans raise money to buy the club as a community club. It also involves the Co-operative Bank, and the Football Supporters' Association who are helping fans have more of a say in how their clubs are run, including giving them a right to invest meaning they are afforded the protection of company law as shareholders.
It is hoped that early intervention will avoid the situation that developed at another Greater manchester club, Bury.
