Roughyeds suffered their sixth defeat on the bounce losing at home to Halifax 12 to 20.
Tries from Scott Turner and Michael Ward were not enough to avert defeat.
Oldham put up a brave second half display at Bower Fold in hot and sticky conditions but could not contain Halifax who scored five tries putting the match beyond Roughyeds.
Hopefully Oldham's luck will change in the coming weeks and that they can get back to winning ways.
