Oldham Council are setting their budget for 2023/24, and are looking for help from residents, businesses and local communities to them with their spending plans.

They are looking to find £42.55m worth of savings, which will mean they will have to look a a range of proposals to cut expenditure and change the way they work. Not an easy task with added financial pressures, rising fuel costs, a rise in the Real Living Wage, increased demand for services after covid and the cosy of living crisis.

It is important to protect and maintain vital services such as childrens services and protection of the elderly as well as keeping the streets clean and bin collections. The council also wants to invest and build a better Oldham.
