An additional £600,000 per year is being invested into Oldham’s street cleaning team. This will result in an extra 24 staff across Oldham.

The mobile street cleaning teams will work closely with enforcement officers to reduce the time taken TO Clear dumped rubbish.

The streets will be cleaned seven days a week, including Bank Holidays.

The Council said:

“The majority of people treat our borough with respect but I urge the selfish few to stop littering our streets. Anyone who witnesses littering or fly-tipping please report those responsible and we will take action.

“We’re doing our bit with this investment, please do your bit by not littering and maybe even organise a community litter pick. The result is a cleaner Oldham for us all to enjoy.”
