There are events across Oldham's parks celebrating  Love Parks Week 2017 from 14-23 July.

Love Parks Week, is now in its eleventh year, is Britain’s biggest celebration of these amazing spaces.

It is about encouraging as many people as possible to go out and enjoy their local park. Take a photo, video or simply post on social media, using the hashtag #LoveParks, telling the world why you love your park.

Using this tide of public support, with people sharing how much parks matter to them and why, environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy will campaign to secure the quality of parks for future generations to enjoy.

There are 23 parks located across Oldham, including Alexandra Park and Dunwood Park which were both awarded the Green Flag Award.
