Latics climb out out of the National League relegation zone when Joe Nuttall converted a 79th-minute penalty to make it 2-2 draw against leaders Notts County at Boundary Park.
All the goals came in the second half with Notts County going ahead six minutes from the interval through Macaulay Langstaff.
Oldham's Nathan Sheron levelled the score two minutes later, Cedwyn Scott then put County back in front four minutes later.
