Business News
For every commercial business that is bought or sold within the OL postcode the Pearson commercial conveyancing team are donating £5 to help Oldham Mayor Cllr Javid Iqbal realise his charity target.
After meeting with the Mayor recently the Pearson property team wanted to show their support and keep it local:
“We deal with a wide range of commercial property transactions every year, shops, offices, industrial premises, our clients are always on the move and we are busier than ever but we can sometimes be time poor and thought by making a financial donation for every commercial premises we deal with in the OL postcodes we could help the Mayor’s charity,” said head of property, Karen Piontek.
“We already support Dr Kershaw’s, Maggies and the Action Oldham fund, but it’s great to lend our support to other worthwhile causes across the borough and we hope our donation will help Cllr Iqbal get top goal all that quicker,” she added.
Cllr Javid Iqbal, Mayor of Oldham, said: “I want to thank Pearson for this fantastic gesture of support. I’m truly grateful and I wish them very well for the year ahead.
“The charities I’m raising money for do so much wonderful work in Oldham that virtually all of us, at one point or another, have been touched by, or know someone who has been touched by their work.
“I’m hoping that – and the events and initiatives I’ll be hosting throughout the year – will help meet our target.
“If people want to get involved, they can find out more at or by taking part on social media – just search for ‘MayorJav’ on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.”
